Cultivating Our Community
At Sproule Farms, we understand the importance of our community. That’s why a big part of how we work is what we do in our community. Whether we operate in your county, town, or the field next door, we are focused on being stewards of the land and the people who live here. Each year, we look to find new and innovative ways to impact the region we live and work. We believe you reap what you sow, and we are focused and determined on sowing impactful seeds in our community.
Cans 4 Corn
Each year, we partner with our local Salvation Army on an event we call ‘Cans 4 Corn’. Over 1.5 acres of sweet corn is donated by Monsanto with the assistance of CHS Ag Services and cultivated by Sproule Farms. When the time is right and the sweet corn is ripe, we invite the community out for a grand two day event. Visitors are asked to donate a canned good or monetary donation in exchange for a dozen ears of corn. This event continues to grow with more food and monetary gifts being distributed back into our community. We greatly appreciate the communities generosity and the joy an event such as this brings to visitors.
Sproule Farms often finds itself behind the scenes in several other community event. You may not know we’re there, but we work hard to ensure a successful event. We work extensively with the Wild Hog Marathon, ensuring all equipment is delivered and the course is in place come race day. This often call for long days and late nights, but we love to see everything come together!
The Principles of Sproule Farms are involved in other both agricultural and nonagricultural business ventures within our community. Northern Tier Seed is a venture we have been involved in since its inception in 2001, offering seed conditioning services throughout Minnesota, North and South Dakota.
